Another human-relative cycle of time is ending, enabling us to cut off the past and heralding a new era of slightly different date numbers; to neatly tie off the past and move into the ever more complex future. Solar cycle 2014 (innaccurate) is as almost at a close, and to celebrate this celestial occasion some of the deeply-talented artists that we've had the pleasure of working with over the last year through either the agency or radio show have decided to give us insight into their favourite tracks from the year. Find below some of the best pieces of music to arrive at the doorsteps of our ears in 2014.

1. Billain - Device 9 [Rise Audio]

// Immense track, I have loved playing this it always receives a great response.

2. Sabre & Safire - Genie Method [Invisible]

// Heard Survey play this in Berlin last month and have been listening ever since. Precise and moving.

3. The Sect - Black Light [TSM Records]

// Trusted Sect sound. I played this in The Volks Brighton this summer and it brought back fond memories of Blade & Meth terrorizing the place.

4. Mefjus - Expedition [Crtical Records]

// Haunting intro, deep and evolving techno chords and the bongos are wicked.

5 . Sunchase - Next Rhythm Engage Remix [22.22 Records]

// Loved the original and Engage has stepped up the intensity in his mix. Played this as last track in Bogotá and the place went insane.

1. Plaid - OH

"This track is beautifully crafted, It's well balanced sonically, has a glorious, hope drenched, melody, the rhythmical content is sublime...... I could go on all day"

2. SD Laika - Percressing

"I enjoyed 'That's Harakiri' in it's entirety, but I chose Percressing because, for me, it epitomises club music. If I close my eyes, the simple hypnotic rhythms & side-chained whitenoiseiness transport me to the centre of a drug fuelled sweat box"

3. Woulg - Punishment

In my eyes, Greg is one of the greatest producers out there at the moment. His edits are inventive, his mixes have great depth and he's a general audio Ninja :), Punishment is a perfect example of his craftsmanship.

4. Mogwai - The lord is out of control (Nihls Frahm Remix)

Mogwai + Nils Frahm.     Nuff said

5. Dorian Concept - Wrong Rhythm Studies

Skippy, Sharp grooves that make it impossible for me to stand still, great production...... yet another talented bastard

Moody Good - Musicbx (feat. Eryn Allen Kane)

> The return of Eddie Jefferys is probably one of the best thing that happened in 2014. The sub work is just phenomenal.

Noisia - Shaking hands

> Is it necessary to present Noisia? This track gives me chills, everytime.

Billain - Conflicted

> I can't really explain what I feel listening to this Billain's tune - but It's intense.

Mefjus - Saturate

> Top notch work from Mefjus, killing it this year with his album "Emulation".

1. Black Sun Empire & State of Mind - Unconscious

Originally it  had been offered as a freebie at the end of 2013 but it was then officially released on State of Mind's "Eat the Rich" LP in early 2014. This track has always featured in our sets and it will probably remain so!!..... Delivers mayhem to any dancefloor! Neurofunk classic!

2. Joe Ford - Off Centre

Brilliant concept! Super sexy bassline and quirky bleeps take you on a ride out in left field

3. L33 - Melt

Infectious groove!! If it doesn't get you on first listen it will win you over eventually and have you nodding to it consciously or subconsciously!

4. Haywyre - Everchanging

This guy writes the most ridiculously elegant melodies and his songs makes everything feel musically redundant afterwards. Super optimistic cosmic vibes!

5. Hybrid - Power Curve (Noisia Driveclub Remix)

Those original vibes and soundscapes noisia became synonymous for in the mid 2000s,executed with sonic perfection!
